First Time for Everything

This is my very first effort at blogging! My aim is to let you, the reader, know about some interesting books that I've read and enjoyed. Be warned, I love to read mystery and psychological suspense novels, so you will be hearing about several of them.

I like to think that I read widely, but often find myself drawn to debut novels. It amazes me how often these are some of the most satisfying reads. And I get a big kick out of having the chance to be the first to tell others about a terrific new book.

The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker is just one of these debut novels.

    Yeah, congrats Maryellen on your blog. It looks great and I'll add you to my google newsreader so I can keep up with you. Agreed on The Age of Miracles. I loved it! Think it would be a great discussion, don't you? It's overwhelming how much new writing talent is out there.
